BD Sumter - open positions

With all of the talk of this board about hiring freezes and layoffs - I see quite a few BD Sumter positions posted beyond JG1/2 floor positions. Many of these are JG3/4/5 positions. Were folks asked to resign/severed and these are backfill positions?... — read more

BDB Layoffs Hit San Jose

Hiring freeze is also implemented until the next fiscal year. Start looking elsewhere while you can.

more stress on being in office

Another condescending email blast sent out in IDS today about being in the office. Are other business units getting the same push from their leadership?

Set of Layoff's happened this week

BD yet again known for doing Layoff's, always in constant fear every quarter especially near the end of the 4th quarter. No wonder why there is a lack of talent and zero moral there.

I’m constantly worried about layoffs

This was never the case before. We at least had some kind of job security here. But with so many cuts - both public and hidden - I can’t stop stressing. I’m now considering leaving the company and finding a new job just for the sake of my own mental... — read more

Plymouth, UK

Job losses announced in yet another knee jerk reaction by incompetent management. Constant change in focus, no direction, low staff moral and lack of training and access to standard operating procedures.

Substantial Layoffs in IDS Coming!

From what I am hearing, the poor leadership who came from outside of diagnostics, and their inability to both generate and combat the substantial loss of covid revenues, paired with declining sales and is forcing major cutbacks in IDS. BD has... — read more

Layoffs coming soon, very soon

Confirmed via multiple sources, fairly large layoffs coming very soon. Rumor has it that it's mainly for optics. Paying bonuses while not able to sell infusion for several years, finally catches up.

April 2023 layoffs? Any chatter?

It's got to continue and there are definitely lots of management layers that could go. Sr leaders with 1 direct report or no direct reports! Too many layers for sure.

Layoffs today in HR/talent acquisition

I’m seeing several layoffs on talent acquisition/recruiters at BD today. They were told today but I’m not sure how many were affected. Does anyone know of other areas being affected?

I'm tired of all reorganizations

Both on the company level and those below. I'm not sure how many changes, adjustments, and whatnot my group had in the past five years, but it was more than enough. Funnily enough, the more things supposedly change, the more they stay the same. I... — read more

Terrible non-transparency

My anxiety is only intensified by the huge non-transparency here. There are rumors that layoffs are already happening, but I don't know which business units are affected, nor what is the scope of these layoffs. If anyone has more insights, please... — read more

Attrition is getting worse and worse

Not that I blame those who're leaving, considering how much things have changed in the last couple of years. Employees used to be appreciated, now we're nothing but a number to them. It doesn't matter how long you've been here, if they think you cost... — read more
