Macy's is set to report dismal Q2 numbers tomorrow. Surely Belk's numbers cannot be any better.

Belk is having a Charity Sale in October including pre-sell. Hopefully staff and hours will increase by then. At current levels, stores will not be able to handle it.

In the middle of a busy Saturday afternoon in our store, a customer exclaimed to me:about Belk "Almost every register in here is closed. I don't see how you are going to stay in business! I fear for your jobs!"

Dillard’s in Raleigh is hiring in Women’s department starting at $15 & Up for full time, rotation of weekends off, full benefits, and Vacation and holiday pay. Most of the things Belk is trying to get rid of.
