I feel bad for these managers who are now just basically working as “packers” and “shippers” if that’s not a sign something is terribly wrong, nothing is.

I heard that furloughed employees are being contacted and being told that they are still employed but they most likely won't get any hours. There are no hours to give them. Can anyone confirm this?

Management, Loss Prevention, and Visual are mostly online shoppers now. They are able to tend to their titled positions/duties very little.

Can it be that bad. They are extending hours again. So some furloughs should be called back. Business must not be that bad.

We need to start a Belk Gofund me page only for hourly sales associates , Belk has been stricken with the SycamoreVirus out of New York and cannot pay its employees.

In order to be open thanksgiving, Belk needs merchandise, if stores are empty by October or early November then we now this is the end

Sears had the same email policy and they are doing great!

If email capture is so important, why not have a kiosk at the front of the store where a customer can enter their email or phone number themselves if the wish to? Why does it keep asking for the same email over and over for the same customers?

Macy’s, Khols, Dillard’s, Stein Mart all have a larger staff than Belk, we are still operating on 13 associates and two managers a day.

if belk cuts holiday pay for thanksgiving and keeps the store open, all associates and managers MUST protest, call out sick, stage a walk out, do something!!!!!! Don’t let these greedy b–tards take time away from your family!!

Before Toys R Us went bust, it was operated the same as belk. Managers had pay cuts, stock was low, and they were telling everyone that nothing was wrong. I worked there for 5 yrs.
