Capital One just announced job cuts - about 190 people in Seattle will lose their jobs starting October 2016. Good luck to us all.

Capital One is the key player in the sub-prime credit card market. I wonder if Capital One regards its employees the same way Capital One regards those who have one (or more) of its sub-prime credit cards.

Do you know the terms of the severance payments for the employees that were laid off in 2016. It seems that not all people were treated equally? Are there cases of discrimination?

Call centers in Oregon and South Dakota closed and reaming workforce cut backs in its home state of Virginia,

The Quality department was let go (35 associates and supervisors) and another 100 associates were let go as well, for a grand total of 135 employees. I am hearing that most were given packages to soften the impact.

I know some people posted here that there are no layoffs at Capital One, however that's wrong as layoffs are happening as I write this.

Capital One is not different from other banks, we all have issues on the mortgage side: WF, BOFA, Chase, you name it. We'll just have to wait and see what's going to happen in Q3 when our planned reorg will start.
