Topics regarding layoffs at CVS

I see a lot of leadership folks OOO till August 14/15

I wonder if it is just a coincidence or they know that everything will be communicated by 08/14. Weird that they are coming back to work midweek. Probably reading too much into it but perhaps they are chickening out of difficult conversations by... — read more

Don't waste your time

The way they manage layoffs is terrible and a source of even more stress and frustration. Waiting and uncertainty are the worst, but I hope that at least most of us can focus on looking for a new job while we wait to see if we will receive a... — read more

Tomorrow earning and today layoff announcements

Tomorrow we report earning !! And today they announce layoffs. Not sure what to make of it? Are we showing lack of growth due to covid now in past? I assumed our Aetna was doing great but seems like we will be reporting bad earning and to compensate... — read more

Really???

Force employees back to empty buildings but announce layoffs? Who is running this show? Unnecessary to cut people before cutting other costs. What do I know? 25 plus years at the company. That what I know.

Stop stressing over this

I know many are still in a state of shock from the announcement but you will gain nothing from stressing over this. Do you really want to damage your mental health by worrying for weeks or maybe even months over something you can't change? This is... — read more

Who is going to be laid off?

Will it be Americans or will it be the foreigners here on a H1B visa? After working for them I know it will be the Americans

I'm confused

Somebody in another thread wrote that the affected people already received an email as a heads-up regarding layoffs, all 5,000 of them. Is this true? Does it mean if we didn't receive an email we're safe? Or is this just somebody using a horrible... — read more

Buying spree leads to layoffs

How can you buy up 2 companies costing more than $15B and then fire the very people who made those purchase’s possible? It’s sad, if Karen Lynch were to give up her salary for a year all 5k people could keep their jobs. I doubt she’d miss the money. — read more

the massive layoffs

Does anyone else agree that is a poor choice in how inform your employees of a layoff? Now we must all sit in fear, for weeks to come if we are going lose our jobs? How can someone be so tone-deaf? It makes me not want to work for CVS anyways!

Remote?

I saw they said it will be eliminating a number of non customer facing employees. I wonder if they mean remote or positions that don’t deal with customers period.

Has a WARN notice been filed?

They should be submitting a WARN notice to the state every time they lay off more than 500 people. Do you know if this was done?

CVS Corporate Layoffs thread

In today's townhall, Karen said that they will have to make tough decisions in the upcoming months. It is pretty clear that this means layoffs. With all the emphasis on PBM, it seems that PBM will be hit the hardest and other sectors might get hit... — read more

Would losing a job here be all that bad?

Going around open door policy

For the life of me I can't find it now, but wasn't there some sort of direct complaint line that we could get a hold of Karen's inbox or voicemail if we saw bullying at a high level. Could someone put that out there. I remember she said that she... — read more
