Devon Irony

Ironically, Devon Energy just hired a new Exec VP (from outside the company) in the last week. In addition, several VP's were promoted to Exec VP's. Bad timing or bad decisions?

So very sad

People are already starting to disappear. Six people from my floor where just called to HR. I have been told to expect The number to be around 1400 people. This is for all of Devon including the divestiture.

O&G Stocks Taking It On The Chin

Start Taking Those Sick Days

When you're laid off, you won't get hour-for-hour credit for sick time, if they give you any credit at all. I'd start taking those sick days now. At least that way you'll get paid for them.

Start Taking Those Sick Days Now

When you get laid off, you won't get hour-for-hour credit for accrued sick time, if you get any credit at all. I'd start taking those sick days now. At least that way, you'll get paid for them. You've earned them, after all.

CEO of CHK and DVN should be working around the clock. If they're not, they're not doing his job. Shame on them; they're getting paid millions.

There are rumors of banks being told not to mark energy loans to market on their books. Means things are a lot worse than expected in the entire sector. Go ahead, call me names and say I am this and that without doing your own research. But mark this... — read more
