GM is severely underperforming. But who has the money in a recession to buy a 50 dollar sweatshirt? They refuse to do promos or discounts. (but the site can't even accept promo codes) the shift is to Skyo.com and drop ship vendors.

What is the ultimate goal of the layoffs? I have heard the next round is to reduce full time positions in the stores. I feel a mass exodus coming on.....then what? What kind of company are we left with? Skeleton crews in dying stores....

Follett in Mchenry, IL. is laying off some 80 people. I don't know a lot about the offices, but the warehouse staff that are being let go, Friday Dec. 7th is their last day. Merry Christmas and good luck finding a new job.

I second the bad management. Follet (every division) is top heavy, too many directors, vice presidents, sr. vice presidents, etc. Follett Library in McHenry cut approx 85 people within the past couple weeks.

Follett has bad management and bad attitude toward workers. They will let you go for no reason, people find their hours cut often with out explanations...
