Can I take another job while working here?

I work for about 10 hours a week and don't feel like Im learning or growing much; everyone is checked out and probably preparing for another job interview. I want to milk as much as possible ( work here the bare minimum and keep my paychecks coming... — read more

No idea who is relocating to work for Ford

Id like to smoke whatever they are smoking to be convinced to come into Dearborn for this company that is probably either going to fire me or lay me off in a few months or go bankrupt

GM & Ford Are Struggling With EVs Again, But Why?

Certainly has nothing to do with: Laws of Physics. Gas/diesel is still king, when it comes to power density of a fuel. Lack of BEV infrastructure. High cost of ownership with BEVs. Range anxiety, safety, and reliability with BEV... — read more

How is Class of August 2022 Doing?

It's been 2 years since a number of Ford employees and agency were 'involuntarily separated' on August 22, 2022. How is everyone doing? I'll start. I was going to leave before the end of the year anyway due to interest rates on the pension lump... — read more

What are the LL2 comps ?

GSR6 here. Was wondering what are the Bonus, Stocks and Options that LL2 get in their packages? Also for LL3 ? For the amount of cr-p I do (50+ hours/week at minimum), I wanted to laugh and pity on myself (sarcastic).

Did You Get Inconsistent on Your PR?

If you got INCONSISTENT on your PR (30% did) and Low Achiever in 2023, pack your bags. Housecleaning coming after 9/6. And don't come back to me with "Name my source!" NDR signed.

If I were CEO

I would Bring back the Fusion or Taurus or something similar. Bring back a 7 seater family vehicle. Make them fuel economical with an Ecoboost engine. Have a Hybrid option available for the both. Watch them sell.

5 million ev per year?

Can someone remind me of the announcement to produce 5 million ev per year? Was this back in 2021? JF was challenging us to get ready for this plan. How things change in just 3 years! How many billions did we lose in those 3 years. 15B? 20B?

Playing mind games

I don't know a single person who feels relaxed and doesn't believe that the next round of layoffs is just around the corner. The management is happy to keep everything in limbo because they know some people will leave as they can't take all the... — read more

Always expect layoffs

Honest answer should be: Always expect them. You can stay at Ford as long as they will have you if that is your plan. Does it make sense to disrupt a decent paying situation and leave because of the "fear" of something? Likely not. If a time... — read more

So today's 15 minute call was a trial balloon?

See what kind of turnout you can get for such a meeting. So when you spring the real layoff meeting on folks they don't expect it. They think they are slick but they are so predictable.

This company just chases trends and never delivers

We hop on the latest trends always...AVs, EVs, digital, etc and whenever we get to a point where things seem like it's taking "longer than it should" we get cold feet and bail. This is why we need the Feds to ban imports just so we can save face.

Too many people are quitting

They're giving this cr-ppy leadership exactly what they want. I can't understand why people would leave on their own knowing that there's always a high possibility of layoffs. That's like leaving thousands of dollars on the table. Be more patient... — read more

Layoffs ?

Who is Lisa and why would she be included in the meeting. What significance does she have related to lay offs ?

We're next

This week it was GM, next week or month it'll be us. It always happens, no exceptions.

You are mediocre if you work here

Lets all face the reality in the mirror; if you were good at your job, you wouldn't be working here. I took working at Ford as I was desperate and in a place of vulnerability and looking back it has been the worst decision ive made in my career. .. — read more
