If team is actively hiring more people ...
Does it mean you might be more immune from getting laid off? I don't understand how it would make sense to cut a team/ org that is already understaffed and needs more people
What benefits do you get to keep if you get fired?
For example can you keep your 401k at Ford, HSA, etc...
So is next week doomsday or not? ( Aug 28 2023)?
According to the posts here something big is happening next week but there is nothing in the media. Reuters reported it 4 days before it happened ( for June 2023) but right now I see nothing
Layoffs Monday or Not?
I don’t think so. Usually, it would have leaked to the press by now.
Owning a Ford is like a box of chocolates

UAW going to shoot itself in the foot
If the UAW goes on strike and sales are lost that will just speed up the transfer of market share to non UAW manufacturers. This will lead to less work at the big 3 plants which will lead to less UAW membership. Which will lead to less bargaining... — read more

Mid- year review ?
So, I received my mid-year review. I was ranked below mid-point. What does that mean? Can I recover? My morale is already low.
Executive Ranks
Will they be hit just as hard as the lower levels?
EV inventory
Oh no, you mean the EV fairy isn't real?: https://jalopnik.com/dealers-are-turning-away-ev-inventory-report-1850771467 Good thing Ford's ramping up EV production.
If you get laid off (aka fired) due to restructuring, do you still get profit sharing?
What I mean is PF accumulated to date upon being released? Have only been with the company 2 years and wow with the churn. I am just curious.
Those whose groups got affected in June; will we be affected next week?
Its really difficult to focus not knowing if we will be here in a week or not
If your area was cut in June 2023, will it get cut again?
ADAS lost 25% in June; will we lose that much again?
For those that don't think Ford CAN force remote workers back into the office, read this!
https://fortune.com/2023/08/23/lyft-return-to-office-ceo-david-risher/ All the arguments used here against RTO are also in the Lyft story. Allowing workers to live anywhere. Cutting office space in half. Don't think this is about JF, DF, and BF to... — read more
I am not proud to work here

Agency People Let Go Today
We were notified at 5 pm today the agency people were being released. I have a bad feeling this is the beginning of the next round of terminations. No notice, who is going to do the work? Have any other department agency people been let go?
Practice Strike???
Why do you have to practice holding a sign? Oh thats right, it's alot harder than putting a bolt in a fender.

New PR process is a joke

So has this been the plan all along? Scare the white collar workers into doing blue collar jobs?
Having quarterly layoffs in order to scare white collar workers into crossing the picket lines? "Do it or you're next up kind of thing?" Sadly I wouldn't put it past our current management.
Info on salaried workers x-ing the picket line:
