If team is actively hiring more people ...

Does it mean you might be more immune from getting laid off? I don't understand how it would make sense to cut a team/ org that is already understaffed and needs more people

So is next week doomsday or not? ( Aug 28 2023)?

According to the posts here something big is happening next week but there is nothing in the media. Reuters reported it 4 days before it happened ( for June 2023) but right now I see nothing

Owning a Ford is like a box of chocolates

You never know what you’re going to get (but you will get something). No better way to alienate customers. We just don’t care about customers anymore. Several reported issues with the Ford F-150 have popped up during production of the current... — read more

IRS Interest Tables

Has anyone done the approximate math on this years IRS intrrest rate tables, compared to last year, and estimated a percentage drop in lump sum? Is the IRS/Fed Reserve going to once again indirectly encourage 1000 Ford employees to retire earlier... — read more

UAW going to shoot itself in the foot

If the UAW goes on strike and sales are lost that will just speed up the transfer of market share to non UAW manufacturers. This will lead to less work at the big 3 plants which will lead to less UAW membership. Which will lead to less bargaining... — read more

Mid- year review ?

So, I received my mid-year review. I was ranked below mid-point. What does that mean? Can I recover? My morale is already low.

EV inventory

Oh no, you mean the EV fairy isn't real?: https://jalopnik.com/dealers-are-turning-away-ev-inventory-report-1850771467 Good thing Ford's ramping up EV production.

I am not proud to work here

I took this offer out of desperation at the time and looking back, I genuinely feel I have sabotaged my career. The constant stress of not knowing if I will get laid off and the below market pay isnt worth it. I have no respect for most of my co... — read more

Agency People Let Go Today

We were notified at 5 pm today the agency people were being released. I have a bad feeling this is the beginning of the next round of terminations. No notice, who is going to do the work? Have any other department agency people been let go?

Practice Strike???

Why do you have to practice holding a sign? Oh thats right, it's alot harder than putting a bolt in a fender.

Happy Anniversary - 1 Year since 8/22 SIRP!

Happy 1 year Anniversary to my fellow SIRP colleagues! So how's everyone doing? Me, I found a new job in 3 months at another OEM. Shorter commute, better pay, great boss, and better culture. Looking back I can say Ford really did me a favor. For the... — read more

New PR process is a joke

New PR process with rankings of above target, on target and below target is a massive joke. Bosses are shoving stuff in, saying required face to face reviews happened and they didn't. It is all down to who you know and who you (rhymes with bl-w) ... — read more

New guy, Ford Integrated Services and Ford Next

I hope it is telling that in this paragraph listing his responsibilities at Ford, Ford Next is listed last, almost as an afterthought. Could this be the beginning of the end of eating $3 Billion per year with zero accomplishments to show? Let’s hope... — read more

Bill of Material Quality?

As I understand it, most/all of the company's Dearborn-based BOM experts have either been let go or retired. There has to be some negative Plant/Supplier/Build repercussions eventually- possibly massive. Or am I worrying needlessly?

Is this site acting strange for anyone else?

Comments O make not appearing. Getting a message I posted to quickly when I haven't posted all day. Weird, and right when another layoff is about to drop. Need to be able to discuss the information being shared here!
