Weekend Shift
Weekend shift pretty much wiped out Friday. After some people move to other shifts there will be no forklifts, no maintenance, no gauge room, and maybe a dozen people left. Why even keep the shift?
So, does anyone know how many more layoffs are likely before end of year?
Because the oil industry and the economy are not looking good. Oil in the U.S. Is shut down, and globally there isn't much going on. What do you think, because I still see major layoffs coming down the road
Does accounting move past wages of the laid off to severence costs for accounting?
When somone gets laid off at the end of the quarter, do they do creative book keeping and move ones past 3 months of wages to compensation for accounting trickery? This would make the company's revenue to costs (not including severences) pretty... — read more
Discrimination against older experience hands
They let the older hands go that can run multiple machines and keep the ones that can only run one. Went through n this morning at 5 was walked out at 7 along with another older hand in lotorc valves

Was it 80,000 employees before the downturn (in the summer of 2014)? How many do we have now? Is it 50,000? If yes, this means we let go 30,000 employees? Are my numbers correct?
