Moving On!
I'm sure I'm signing away an opportunity to "Stick it to the Man" but I'll be much happier signing their 19 pages of CYA legalese and moving on rather than enduring a lengthy legal process. I get it, it's business and life is not fair but stop... — read more
If you still work at Honeywell, why?? Please tell me your honest story.
How can anybody still work for a company that brags about layoffs and constant furloughs to the national news media? Honeywell is run worse than the US Congress--even the feds only have a furlough once in a blue moon, and they get back pay. I've been... — read more
How is everyone's 'shareholder appreciation week' going?
Me? I'm updating my baby clothes designs.
Jim Cramer says "Honeywell has been on an amazing tear"
This must be a joke (it's a few weeks old): https://www.thestreet.com/story/13646217/1/jim-cramer-honeywell-earnings-worth-watching-after-layoffs.html Another reason NOT to believe anything said by this man.
Furloughs and Layoffs
Honeywell will not furlough it's engineers as our customers are upset to say the least. However, they are now talking about not paying us for the last week of the year. Seems this is a contractual Holiday pay and I'm hoping they can legally do it... — read more
Will there be another RIF in Q4?
Since mgmt is kicking the financial 'can' down the road from one quarter to next, to meet their commit to timmy & davy, the amt come due in Q4 is looking really bad. And 2017 is looking even worth as davy also promised his pals on the street year... — read more
Attention Honeywell competitors
Now is your chance to go in for the kill and take the remaining yet dwindling market share away from Honeywell. Dave is doing a good job of fooling outsiders into thinking this is a strong company but it isn't. We have no new products, we lose most... — read more
Dismantle Aerospace
Honeywell lost its opportunity to sell Aerospace when it had the chance and it was profitable. Don't be surprised if they spin off into multiple little companies and sell some of them. Aerospace does not fit the narrative Honeywell wants to pursue.
Pension buyout?
Is there any truth to the rumor that HW is going to buyout or pensions?
Why is Honeywell Laying Off?
Honeywell no longer wins. Rockewell just got the displays for the 777x. https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/boeing-selects-rockwell-collins-for-777x-touchscreen-429565/
Downgrading non manager tier 4s.
I did hear a rumor of downgrading non manager tier 4s. This sounds a bit extreme, but it seems quite plausible. Our facility has a VERY unusual T4 ratio (way too many for # of engineers). BUT that is due to a bazillion T2-T3 that have quite, retired... — read more
Legal advice
Has anyone had the RIF agreement reviewed by a lawyer, and if so, is anyone not planning on signing it?
HTSI
I work at HTSI, we got sold to KBR - I hope the sale helps us keep our jobs
Anyone know of someone who was rehired after this or January's RIF?
Seems like the attitude of hiring managers is that those selected were dead weight/weak/undeserving of employment.
So in the past twelve months there have been 3 furloughs roughly 6% our income while in the last quarter the Aero revenue was down by 1%.
The company is stealing money from it employees and giving it to wall street.
Honeywell ALT Mismanagement:Other Aerospace competitors are increasing their year over year revenues. Also each furlough is only saving $10-20M
If you look at the income statements of all Honeywell Aerospace's competitors ( GE Aviation, UTC, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Garmin) they are all showing an increase in year over year revenues. Honeywell ALT is responsible for the situation... — read more
Is Aerospace really having a downturn?
Just for kicks and grins, I looked at the postings from 3 other Aerospace companies (e.g. UTC), and their posts are NOTHING like Honeywell's. Most of the newest ones are years old, and nowhere near as vicious! I know for a fact that Boeing is at a... — read more
Question for volunteers and 26 weeks severance.
If you volunteered for the RIF, does retirement (if elegance) start at the end of the 26 weeks or when you separate from Hon. The 26 weeks would help get closer to 60 YO. I'm thinking I'll ask to be RIFed if given the chance next time. Thanks
Do you believe Aerospace business is really doing wrong?
We hear from dear Timmy that Honeywell is implementing Furloughs and RIFs because Aerospace business is doing bad these days... Look at this contract GE and Pratt just signed and rethink who is really doing bad businesses... — read more
