Redmond move to DV

Virtual watercooler says 20% is moving When will the shoe drop for those not moving (let go) Who will man the farm!@!!!

Could anybody fix this?

Do you think there's a way to fix Honeywell or are we beyond the saving point? I'm not talking about whether the company will survive or not, we all know it will - those on top will make sure they have a cow to milk for a long time to come. What I'm... — read more

MIP and Raises

What did the MIP payouts and raises look like this year? Were people rewarded for extra work that the did this year like the leadership was promising? Did a lot people get retention bonuses or raises?

So much incoherence?

There is no Management, no working together, no one to consult to on issues - just emails, hand-offs and pushers. How many of us can say their manager has no idea what you do? It’s every man and women for themselves at Honeywell. Thankfully for me I... — read more

Honeywell has lost its compass completely

All the things that used to matter are now irrelevant if an excel sheet says so. Years of experience, invaluable knowledge, always going that extra step...none of that matters if your pay is higher than whatever some pencil pusher said it should be... — read more

Here are some facts about working at Moneyhell:

1) Engineering is not a Profession. Why? Name one profession that gives away time for free. Lawyer? Nope. Doctor? Nope. Accountant? Nope. Moneyhell Engineer? Yes! 2) Salary compression: One HR mission is to hire you in from college then slowly... — read more

Hourly to Salary with promotion. Is it worth it?

I know that there will be a substantial mental cost. But , If an hourly employee is making $100K a year with annual salary plus overtime, is it worth it financially, to make the jump to band 03 supervisor? Actual number ranges would be helpful.

Lousy place to work

Honeywell has become the type of the company where people go to see their career die. Nobody gets a job here anymore unless they absolutely have to because they can't get a job anywhere else. Nobody smart is even considering joining this place. The... — read more

Managers are getting worse and worse

I've noticed that going to the HR has the opposite of the desired effect on abusive managers. Since the only thing that happens is things get swept under the rug, they know they're safe to continue doing what they've been doing. This just makes them... — read more

Don't be scared of layoffs

Embrace them. Honeyhell has been a lousy place to work for a long time so leaving can't really put anybody in a much worse position. Especially if there's severance at play. Everybody I know who was laid off (except for one guy but he is one of the... — read more

Hand Raise Unemployment

Has anyone had any issues in getting unemployment after being laid off by “hand raise”, i.e., volunteering for a layoff? Thx

Contemplating

Are there any ex-Honeywell Associates on here that migrated to Sarica? Or do you know of anyone who has made that trek? If so, was the pay comparable to what you were used to? Probably only the Urbana folks can answer this question

HIPAC

Given the Biden administration's push to pass pro-union legislation, we all need to step up and increase our HIPAC contributions. This is very important. Make sure you do the right thing and contribute.

I miss the old Honeywell
