Honeywell has no idea what lean means

If done right, they would staff at 150% of demand. That extra 50% is to focus on cross training, process improvement, and the unscheduled work that comes in unplanned. The next year you stay 150% staffed, but you need less people because of the... — read more

Salary range comparison

How would you compare the salary range of managers and engineers? Is technical/IT managers salary range equivalent to a lead engineers salary. Same with senior manager and a principal engineer salary range? Band 4 is way too broad to me. It’s... — read more

Lump Sum Pension

Starting to irritate me why Honeywell keeps your lump sum pension payout for almost 3 months after you leave. Definitely not the right way to treat a LOYAL employee for over 30 years.

Linkedin

Does Honeywell demote people? I see lot of people saying they are principal program managers on their LinkedIn but they are actually lead p managers in the system.

Dear Honeywell...

Dear Honey Bucket…. In this HPD season, I can without remorse say that the effort I put into my job in 2020 was commensurate with the Merit increase that I received this year. I have silently watched as many better, brighter and more dedicated... — read more

Anyone else seeing the LinkedIn posts?

I've seen probably 5 posts already where Honeywell offered positions to new graduates, then delayed their start dates over and over. Now, I'm seeing the offers being withdrawn. How messed up is that to keep those kids in limbo for months, then lay... — read more

Honeywell FMT

I just got a job at FMT. Did they have any layoffs recently? How is overall career growth for mechanical engineers there? I read many were demoted but don’t know if it’s true

103 Gear line and Heat Treat employees

COVID is dropping us like flies in Urbana.

Pay dates

? Are there 3 pay dates in December 2020? 4th, 18th, 25th? What is 1st pay date in January 2021 Thanks from a riffed employee

Didn’t see anything recently about Troy NY plant.

https://labor.ny.gov/app/warn/details.asp?id=9216 WARN notice given in September closing in April 2021. We should create a list of the closings. Honeywell likes to do things a little at a time so the news doesn’t pick it up.

Advice for novice HPD users.
