IT has plans to insource a lot of the work done by vendors. Why insource work done by AT&T, NTT, etc?. Why not hiring more software developers to build new software that we could sell?.

Voluntary RIFs were asked for a few weeks ago now. I heard the India group axed some this week. Any of rumors or whispers being here in PMT? Seems to have been quiet compared to other groups on here. TIA

Heard a rumor about 40% layoffs for Aero... anyone heard that or something different?

I have over 20 yrs in not yet 50 though. I am also on the old plan. Has anyone gotten a lump sum for retirement on the old plan?
