Strike Demands

More Clarity around Layoffs (LBT was asked directly and tap danced) More and Better Training for our Management (Too many are insidious in action and require reprogramming) Predictable Pay Increases (We live in a time of high inflation. Two... — read more

Intel is doomed.

If this is the type of Intel worker that’s still left, the ones with no integrity, the ones crying about RTO, the ones advocating a strike, the ones advocating boycotting Intel’s products, Intel is doomed!!

Will people use more sick days with RTO

Since we have unlimited sick days, I feel it would be much better to use these and not go online to work as I have done the past 10 years. If you work from home, even because you are sick, you will likely get flagged as non-compliant in the... — read more

On this whole RTO discussion

Remember, anyone is replaceable If you can do your job remotely, then so can anyone else - from anywhere. Looking at you in the higher cost GEO's See #1 Bottom line - if you want a chance at keeping your job, show up. It su-ks to not have... — read more

RTO = 3 Day Weekend

LBT openly acknowledged work doesn’t get done from home, so it isn’t something he expects. Put in a hard four at the office, and then enjoy your long weekend, every weekend! Once he fires everyone, he’ll have way less leverage over those who... — read more

Main purpose of the RTO is to force people out

It also results in the best, or at least those best positioned to look for a more convenient or better work arrangement, leaving first. RTO is about control too, not efficiency or collaboration. All excuses are bullsh-t, basically. But it’s in line... — read more

RTO and Fully Remote Engineers

I heard that fully remote engineers without an office nearby will face layoffs. Seems unfair as I took the position knowing that I would be allowed to work remotely. Management says that our CEO is tightening the return-to-office rule, and there... — read more

Is anybody safe?

I know there's rarely any real rhyme or reason to layoffs, but I have to ask: is there anyone who can actually feel secure right now? Any team, any role? Or is it just a free-for-all at this point?

RTO six days a week, mandatory, starting next week...

Intel offering flexibility, you can chose either Saturday or Sunday as your 6th RTO day. If you have extensive evening calls with Asia, as part of making the office more attractive, we will strive to keep a few area lights on while you remain on... — read more

It’s obvious once you see it

LBT can’t spell out the layoff rate because for FabCo the rate will be 100% Nobody wants to do business with FabCo not even ProdCo (Nova Lake) and the debt is crippling even if people did. Nobody wants to try to get money out of that. ProdCo has a... — read more

Fun times ahead

It’s hard to say what’s worse - waiting to find out your fate, or realizing the job market is a total nightmare.

I Agree we do need a Strike!

I know HR is all over any post mentioning strike. But workers need to level set with our corporate masters. I agree with the Strike posts.

Are we just going to ignore this?

Are we going to see accountability for 13th and 14th Gen CPUs? Crashing and damaged out of the box. RMA nightmare. Customers lost forever. Confidence in our products gone. Seems like Intel is just extending the warranties and hoping it all goes... — read more

1-Day Strike

We want more transparency on decisions (layoffs) We want a say in company direction (as employees not just minuscule shareholder votes) We want better training and accountability for our management We want predictable pay raises and compensation... — read more

It's Over. I'm Out.

Intel is currently navigating a challenging landscape as it considers outsourcing some of its two-nanometer chip production to Taiwan Semiconductor, despite having its own in-house... — read more

This IS the strategy

People who look at the Board and think they are clueless and have no strategy might consider that there is a strategy and they are executing it right now by bringing on a venture capitalist as CEO. I'd agree that the Board has done miserably if the... — read more

LBT - The butcher we deserve

Jensen Huang famously stated once that he never had any grand ambitions for Nvidia as a business except for making sure that they would stay solvent for the next 3 months. Lisa Su took over AMD, spun off GF and now its a thriving x86 CPU... — read more

Strike!

Let’s go on strike and show the shareholders that we deserve better. I mean all 5 out of every hundred of us that do work that is. The rest of of you FLMs and bloated VPs and corporate chatterboxes have it way too good to even consider striking. Your... — read more

Lists have been made ?

Have lists been made ? It seems unusual that LBT did not mention a % of reductions and across which layers. He did mention they will get it done by June. What can we expect in the next few weeks? Last day has to be June 30th i would imagine for those... — read more

Who wants to start RTO with me tomorrow?

I am so excited to finally get some "culture" back into work. To work with coworkers who can't take a joke and only want to prop themselves up for promotion, who barely speak English too. That's fun. Can't wait to put on headphones all day since... — read more
