Exec Mgmt: Can we have some common sense please?

Have all the calls gone out already?

Are ASM's who have not gotten a call safe? My mom didn't get one yet but she is still stressing over this more than usual. I'm starting to get really worried. I hope I can tell her she'll be okay.

Force department managers to become co-managers?

I bet they are trying to force department managers to be co managers too. Why else would they give clerks and co managers a raise and skip department heads? They also are not allowed to step down. It's either quit, stay where you are, or move up... — read more

What I don't understand is how they are laying off all these managers while all year long they have been putting people through the Management Training program in the Atlanta Division. Let's hire all these new ASM's who have no clue how to run a... — read more

Why are they laying off some of our best people?

I feel so angry right now... Two longtime friends and our best employees are gone... Why? There are actual people here who we could lose without losing anything valuable in the process, and they are still here... How does that make any sense? Who... — read more

Store is in denial??

My managers are saying it's not going to happen? We are just making a new division and no one is losing jobs? Meanwhile everyone is getting emails of Kroger changing how things are run? We were supposed to have a huddle but everyone says it's just... — read more

This was not handled well!

Was there really no better way to handle this? People receiving calls and then having to wait for hours for the meeting full well knowing that was it? I hope this was unique to my location because if it's company-wide, Kroger management is crueler... — read more

Regarding the meetings....

All the managers called for a meeting today, were let go. Most of us never received a call at all, up to this point. DMs say they are going to meet with all of us, yet everyone called has been laid off.
