layoffs?

any new info on if/when more layoffs are expected?

There are still hard workers here

I wonder why though, since it's obviously wiser to put more energy into looking for a new job than to work yourself to exhaustion here?

Employee morale

I'd like to know if those in charge actually know how the employees feel. Do they even realize that we've reached the point where morale is at rock bottom? And if they do know, do they even give a damn about turning things around and boosting the... — read more

Merit?

Did anyone else hear something about no merit this year? If this is true what is the point of performance reviews?

Nielsen is done

By now, it should be common knowledge that Nielsen is done. Everyone should have an exit strategy, without exception. The company is destined to dwindle to a point where it's nothing but a mere skeleton unable to sustain itself. In the end, it will... — read more

Almost 40 years and never thought I’d see this!

I’ve been around a long time. Longer than most that are left. I’ve been as low as a field rep and high as a VP. I have never seen the type of disorganization and chaotic movement that is happening at the moment. Quite honestly I never thought I’d... — read more

Fungible Employee

Leaderlesship now calls employees fungible when planning next round of layoffs in late March and April. We are considered easy to replace commodity. Nielsen is almost dead so we have bottom feeder management in place.

meanwhile

In Belgium they're firing almost half of a team (7 out of 18), it is confirmed. I'm part of that team. So we know that in 30 days (mandatory for a collective redundancy) half of us will be out. Nothing wrong with it, it is dead end job anyway. But... — read more

Benefits

Many have asked about severance benefits. It’s pretty straightforward and simple. With the exception to 401k whatever you had set up on your last day of employment is what you’ll have through the end of your deference. My personal situation. I had... — read more

Question for the next town hall

Has any townhall ever produced anything useful?

It's not easy to get used to this feeling

There's no way the layoff is over
