Any ideas of how legacy Oxy employees were laid off in January?

With the rig count down to 790 I have not seen too many technical jobs out there. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but it sure seems to be a tight job market.

Rumors that there will be no yearly bonus, and that the quarterly field prod bonus is eliminated. Anyone know if there is any truth to these rumors?

What's the cumulative employee count for the entire company? How many, out of that number work at Houston?

Was this lay-off really really necessary? Seems like so many heads per RMT had to go, heard shooting for several hundred in Resources but doesn’t seem to have occurred.

Oxy is laying off people, imagine that. I declined a job with these guys based solely on their reputation of hard to work for and keeping the hanger on'er butt kissers and laying off or firing the people that actually can do the job!
