I was cut last year and it was the best thing that happened to me. Company is a complete joke. At least Indra is gone not sure about the new guy. It took me a month to get a job with a huge pay raise making more than the people older and levels above... — read more
Blessing in Disguise?
Let’s all think positively about this...sometimes new beginnings aren’t the end of the world! Hopefully we all learned last year to save our money. Also, be real, the work environment hasn’t been great the last 5-10 years
Why would this year be any different?
I don’t have any doubt that we will be hit by mass layoffs sooner rather than later. Mass layoffs have occurred at PepsiCo in most of the recent years, why would this year be any different? My only doubt is when will they happen exactly and in what... — read more
More layoffs at NAN?
NAN was last year. Heard in October they’ll do layoffs again February 2019. Gatorade didn’t do great again in 2018. Hiring freeze and travel ban already kicked off. Same story every year. Hate to see people go. Just to check if I got this right -... — read more
Let me guess
Once again anybody close to or already under Rule 70 has much bigger chances of receiving the pink slip than anybody else? We've been cut so much in the past rounds that I'm not sure many are even left - which makes me think was the main goal all... — read more
Speculation
Field management/banded execs will probably be hit, and probably their supporting functions (if department only has to support half the people it used to...). Rumors IT Ops/Sustain will be hit as well, but IT jobs are the easiest to skim and offshore... — read more
It feels like it's only a matter of time....
I entered the workforce right around the recession/recovery time period - 2010. I haven't spent all my years at Pepsi, but of the now 8 or 9 years I have been working, there have been mass layoffs EVERY YEAR at every company I have been at. I've... — read more

Just Rumors?
I'm beginning to think that all of these rumors are just that, rumors. There seems to be very little chatter at Frito-Lay HQ and that's unusual prior to a big announcement. The only rumor that seems legitimate is the one where Frito-Lay will be... — read more
Any update on the 2/14?
What happened whit the story that reorgs begin 2/14 and that cut will start at that time? People have been talking about that left and right, but now it seems to be quiet. Is that scenario still probable as people said it might be? Any update on... — read more
New to PepsiCo
Been here less than a year - and now I see everybody is talking about something major that's about to go down. I'm going to guess that my job is in jeopardy, since I'm assuming I'm among the last hires. Is that how it works here - last in first out?... — read more
Layoffs - Simple Math
For those of us in North America, it's a matter of simple math. I'm assuming we all follow the same PDR schedule... Mid February is earnings and close or P2 - make some announcement during the earnings call to make wall street wet - announce a... — read more
Any ideas on numbers this time around?
As the February culling time-frame is getting closer and closer and more and more indicators point to a repeat performance, do we have any idea how many will be affected this year? Around a thousand once again? More? Less? It would be nice to have at... — read more
Any reorg news from AMENA?
After Mike Spanos announcement on reorg, things seems to have gone cold. Any news from there folks?
This is only the beginning!
Regardless of what happens this week or next, this only the beginning. Rumors are that a team is being put into place to identify jobs/work across all functions (Marketing, HR, FInance, etc) that can either be outsourced or consolidated. Either more... — read more
Days Ahead
So, why did I put in 60 hours this week? Salaried, so no OT. Oh, that's right, loyalty to a company that had no loyalty to me. I guess i'm a glutton for punishment. Rooms are booked at HQ sites. The field (pepsi anyway) will be highly affected. Half... — read more
Layoffs abound, InfoSec still bloated and hiring more
In the midst of yet another round of layoffs, we have the continual growth of one of the most over-funded and worthless organizations in the company - Information Security. They just announced the hiring of a VP and Deputy Chief Information Security... — read more
Bonus after being laid off
I'm sorry if this was asked and answered, but I couldn't find it on here. Do people still get their bonuses even if they are laid off a few weeks prior? Somebody in another thread mentioned that layoffs in February happen to avoid having to pay out... — read more
Market Directors being laid off
Just heard through the grapevine about some market directors who are leaving the company effective today.
What’s the deal with this merging of regions?
I get the general premise to merge and try to create the same, or better results with a lesser workforce and fewer tiers of management, but what are we talking about in terms of workes that will get RIF’ed? Certainly hope It’s not simple math... — read more

What is it with PepsiCo and February 14?
Or at least the week of February 14? Of all the days and weeks in the year, why exactly is this such a good period for cuts and reorganizations? What makes it so special? It almost feels intentional in its pettiness. Although, nothing really... — read more

Long hours and no family life, for lousy pay and bad treatment

Two managers left in as many days
One was an a--hole so I don't mind, but the other was a decent person. My main worry is why did they leave so abruptly. Do they know something we don't? It's been a while since the last layoffs round, so I wouldn't be surprised something was coming... — read more

What about the reorg after the Superbowl?
What about that rumor that there will be reorgs after the Superbowl? Well, the Superbowl is finished and I don’t see anything happening. All quiet at my location. Any info on that, or did this turn out to be just a rumor that wasn't true?

Volunteer Layoff List
The smart thing to do is ask for volunteers wishing to retire early and bridge then to retirement. I've heard a lot of people would sign-up if it was an option.
Bradenton layoffs
Let’s hope the company finally cleans house in the ole’ boys network. The place resembles Young and the Restless, not a world class manufacturing plant.
QFNA and FLNA Layoffs in 2019

There are other options out there
