peace and quiet for three and a half hours. Got to love it. Family dinner at Sam's Club with our forever coworkers after the cafe is closed. "This is the life"

So will any position in the club have weekends off? Backroom? I currently have Sat/Sun off every week so how is block scheduling going to affect me? No one here at the club seems to want to explain it.

I can’t wait to say, “You again” to someone by the time clock when its time to punch in. 😂

HO is becoming more our parents. Just like being responsible for going to school again. Can miss a bell. And leave when the bell rings. And if you get too many detentions you’re expelled.

With this new scheduling the shift that you choose is it permanent or do we rotate shifts every 12 weeks?

If you have a closing shift and we close early for a holiday do the closers still stay until 9:30 and 11:30 ? Like 4th of July and Christmas eve? Etc.

They claim this is working in some other clubs? Which clubs have this and is it really working?

Can you take a better shift from someone out of your work group if you have more seniority?

Will all MSS be getting a raise with all these new responsibilities? Even if they are already over the $15 threshold?

I think this is Sams way of gettinf people out without having to pay unemployment or offer severence. These new hours for block scheduling are horrible. I dont see how they can expect people especially who have kids and families to work those hours... — read more 

My photo department is closing. Why am I not offered severance?

Am I reading it right ? I was FT for 25 years and just went to PT by choice. I have to work 28 hours for 1 hour of PTO ? That comes out to about a week and a half PTO a year 😳 I was used to getting 4 weeks a year !

And if you get the closing shift, you’ll be here that late on July 4th and Memorial Day and Labor Day when we close at 6. This place has to look like a Grand Opening before you leave.

Leads are not going to salary, they are not cutting out a manager just changing some responsibilities and what areas they run, day stocking is hitting clubs in June and you must have open availability or find another job.
