There have been so many closings that I've lost count. Does anyone know how many Kmart and Sears will be left open after this latest round of closings? Are we down to about 200 total?

Anyone have any insight as to possible layoffs coming to Hoffman Estates this week? I’m hearing upwards of cutting 50% again but not sure what departments.

Just received a list of 46 additional Kmart and 53 Sears locations to close this year. This is in addition to the previous announcements leaving the KMart format with 59 locations.

Was Eddie Lampert. There was a man who even thought as he was fleecing his own company, bungled things so badly through his own incompetence that he managed to lose money hand over fist.

Rumor is that there was a conference call today with more store closings...40 more Kmarts or 60 Sears. Anyone know anything?

Should be some people on here that qualify for severance from a recently closed store, anyone have any info on the details, how many weeks max are they paying, are they paying it out at all? HR won't give out any information on the subject.

Not that anyone uses SYW Max anyways. Should have gotten rid of the program all together. It’s apparently being replaced with a new program.

These programs will be ending at the end of December. I thought they were supposed to bring the turnaround and save the company.

Hopefully they will think twice before playing Christmas music in any of the closing stores. There is definitely nothing merry, or holly jolly about losing your job.
