There is no democracy for students or for staff. Too corporate now. The institute is top heavy while the actual workers are laid off. After hiding behind Harvard when called to DC, now they follow everything Harvard is doing and even how it runs internally. Higher ups are in jobs they don't know how to do and let faculty run the institute. That is one thing Harvard would never do. Too many good workers left or retired after the pandemic and now they're losing good workers to layoffs and administrative politics. Who suffers...the students and staff. Not sure what happened to MIT, but it's gotten bad and doesn't look like it's changing. I may have to start looking.
