I would imagine they used to hire bright people, has the push toward lowest cost left this company with nothing but bottom feeders and incompetence?

@OP HCL took over IT at State farm, leading to the layoff of 1000 US employees.
I was ready to retire, so I didn't mind getting the bonuses to leave, but I also had to interview my replacements. The candidates were substandard to the point we finally started hiring people in that could spell the technology they were interviewing for.
We were supposed to train our replacements for a year, but they couldn't catch on. I was training them for 2 years before I was finally let go.
HCL took over Verizon business and they managed to sucessfuly make all their best engineers redundant and replace them with absolute mo--ns
HCLTech is a horrible untrustworthy company that US companies use to do their dirty work. HCL takes on the employees for the us company until you complete training your offshore replacement. There are many issues with HCL such as errors with the paycheck, communication issues, no raises, bonus cuts, tracking employees via keystrokes. The list of issues is long. Work for them if you want but don’t expect to be treated with respect.
They've never been competent.
