Another comment. Only 20-30% of leaders or managers are capable of running the company or team. Rest 70% don’t even have the personality, skills or culture to lead or motivate the team.
Extreme networks is not hiring the best talent in cloud networking in the Bay Area. Hiring has almost stopped in USA. It is more about greed and outsourcing to meet the EPS or revenues.
Top talent work at other big companies.
Team culture depends upon the manager and leads in the team. Extreme networks lack mangers and leaders who can motivate and give proper training or mentors new engineers. They break features often in the extreme cloud and outsource work to multiple locations who are not connected well.
One set of people being lazy and nonproductive comment is a biased comment. Take a look at the startup or any big tech culture in Bay Area, most of them are putting in a lot of hours and work 60-70 hours. Too much work is also not good.
Most of the engineers, 80% are productive. There are lazy people everywhere in the world.

This is 2qp. I can see how my comment may have implied race to the bottom equals Indians. That was unfortunate phrasing and not what I meant. My point is the days of self-ownership is near and a PEG will ki-l the rest of the company. My comment was economics based, not quality based. Once you give up cost protection, you lose the heart of the company. The products no longer have value.
Great people suffer along the journey to the bottom. All of us suffer including the customers.

Your people are lazy and useless. It is a race for top quality and top efficiency. You and your kind are just jealous of Indians because we are smarter and are more productive than your people.
The outsourcing to my country cannot be stopped. We run this company and we rule it. If you don't like it, then you can leave and work at Macdonalds.

The engineering work is being outsource to India. This is a logical decision. The Indian engineer is 10x more productive and smarter than the Europeans. Extreme has finally recognized the superiority, great brilliance and exceptional intelligence of our people.
I am glad they cut those fat low performers. These so-called UI "developers" had no idea what they are doing and were super expensive lazy id--ts. Good riddance! Now it is time to hire smart Indian engineers to replace them and get the job done.
