Two years ago on this same week, I took vacation on Thursday. While out on vacation, I read about a few layoffs and wondered if my role was possibly impacted. I came back to work the next Tuesday and sure enough, a 15 min invite dropped in my calendar from my director shortly after I logged in. I knew right away what it was about. And you know what? I survived it. Lucky for me I was given the enhanced package because VSP was being offered during this time and because our group wasn’t able to volunteer, I received the enhanced package due to the impact. So, if your number is up this Thursday, know you will find a way to make it!

Similar scenario for me. Enhanced package gave me extra runway. There is life after Verizon.
