Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

GK's legacy

George Kurian's legacy won't be maybe hitting $10B in revenue at some point. His legacy, along with Beth O'Callahans, will be constant layoffs and total decimation of the NetApp culture that had been built over the years. Beth's legacy will be the same since she is a big driver behind the new forced distribution performance rewards and the in-office mandates. Sadly, the direct reports to them just blindly follow along.

GK has been asked to STEP DOWN by the board and find his successor!! You heard it here first. Beth will be right behind him as well as the gal that leads TA, i believe her name is Pam.

I don't think they care. They're laughing their way to the bank.

Looks like they are adding to that legacy by not paying the severance they promised. People have been waiting since MAY.

why don't you guys leave reviews on sites like Glassdoor where it actually matters? companies like netapp actually closely monitor their reviews. and people decide to interview or not based on the same. so go leave your honest reviews!

Out of all the issues the forced distribution is by far the worst. Someone should be fired for even suggesting implementing it. Forced performance distributions create false damage trust, ruin culture and punish solid performers for the sake of a curve. Forced distributions teach employees that performance is political, not behavior or results based.
This causes people to stop focusing on impact and start focusing on optics. It also creates backstabbing. It is rotten to the core. I left because of this issue and this issue only.

NetApp stock is incredibly overvalued and will be dragged down to where it belongs in the upcoming AI crash. NetApp reaching 10B in revenue is pure comedy. It won’t happen under GK tenure, I can promise that! How is the AI dependent, AFX rollout going btw :) ?

Stock price going up under GK and so his bank account. Honestly only thing that matters for corporations. Culture or people being happy working there isn’t something corporations care about.

When GK talks about hitting $10B with a big grin on his face, he's not talking about Netapp's revenue. He's talking about his own wallet.
