The reality is Vz Execs failed and the same Execs who gave us DEI are delivering on failed customer security/ privacy.

This smells like a great big nothing burger to those of us with an IQ above room temperature. More red meat to get the right wingers foaming at the mouth mad so they'll forget that Mango Donnie made himself two billion dollars richer last year while figuring our how to cut SS and Medicare, and wiping his ru-p with the Constitution.

Isn't that the same excuse Verizon gave the FCC for the 2023 data breach of half of the workforce's personal information that they failed to report? And to top it off, they said it didn't need to be reported because it was only employee information and not customer information. We weren't notified that it had even even happened until spring of 2024 when those affected got letters offering credit monitoring after the FCC slapped them for it. I think that was also about the time the main message of meetings shifted to how transparent Verizon is and always has been. This kind of behavior is almost sociopathic isn't it?

When considering the deny, deny, deny tactics mentioned in an earlier post, we forgot to add the "not our fault, it was human error" excuse like Verizon used when they omitted any mention of the supeona in a response to congressional inquiries.
At Least AT&T resisted. Verizon couldn't give the toll records up fast enough.
Now they can blame it on previous leadership and assure everyone it would never happen under current leadership (I use the term leadership loosely, very loosely)
We'll what happens on August 13th when Verizon has to explain "human error" in greater detail.
