I remember when 3M was the kind of place people stayed for decades. Now it's a revolving door where people come, get some experience, and leave for somewhere that actually values them. Insiders get passed over, outsiders get promotions, and the culture keeps eroding. And then we ask ourselves why we're in decline? The answer is obvious.

This place is just one big bowl of word salad….
I don't think they promote anyone that doesn't constantly complain about not being promoted. I'm sure managers get some bonus by getting their jobs done with the lowest average team job grade.
These roles prioritize projects for finance that will never get done. Totally pointless and pathetic roles that would be useful in a company that values IT BRM which is not this one. We have laid off entire BRM teams about three times in last 20 years. Always gets cut first.

Word salad…I have worked with this team in IT. Not worth two cents…
@a2 And obviously these roles absolutely cannot be outsourced to MSPs. We must have the best talent to perform the best quality work as they're more important than technical SME & Operations roles that keep the company afloat ;)
@an
Nice..."scalable teams" is that fancy speak for "If you apply for and take this job, be prepared to fire half or more of your reports, and then hire back or fire more as needed?"
@a2 I think it's pretty obvious:
"Here, you go. These roles serve at the cutting edge of our world class information and technology engine, the heart of 3M's groundbreaking approach to data storage, analytics, and automated cloud pipelines. These roles will lead high performance, scalable teams, setting the stage for data and infrastructure to fuel our innovative product releases for decades to come. Our True North is set only on value creation for the customer and bringing novel solutions to the world's most pressing needs. Apply today, and be part of the high-precision team that will lead our next transformation journey, ensuring to our stakeholders that the playbook is always working."
Does that clear up the roles and pay justification a bit?
Why? It’s not obvious. What do these roles do?
