Defining “Executive” When Everyone Seems to Be a Manager

With so many layers of management, how do you even define an executive? Does “executive” refer to anyone reporting directly to a VP or higher ?

@bk No CL30 is still executives. Thats when the cash bonuses and RSUs become more lucrative.

I’m not so certain it is CL30 anymore. I think it may now start at CL34, with 30-33 called Sr Technicals/Specialists.

Executive is CL30+. However, over the last ~2 years, majority of positions that were once lower-level Executive (30, 31, 32) have been down-graded... excuse me... reclassified to CL 28/29 as everyone is expected to "do more". Folks aspiring to these higher levels can look forward to doing the same work with greater expectations in an uber competitive environment, without executive pay, without executive level incentives and without the cash bonus.
