Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

$15M

Where is the acknowledgment? Everyone is posting open roles… “join an amazing team at an amazing brand!” Is this a joke? $11K less on average? Seriously? Many of us felt it, but were assured the “2x yearly” salary check caught and fixed these things. They even declared pay equity across the spectrum at one point. How does DEI leadership even sleep at night? How does anyone stay in these roles? Money? Stock? What’s your soul and integrity worth? Not much, apparently.

@gk First you offend women by saying Nike “feminized” the workplace… then you offend men by basically victim blaming, cause, you know men can’t control themselves. The patriarchy is alive and well out there folks and it hurts men and women.

Actually Nike and Mark Parker specifically admitted they paid women less and treated them horribly. Now they are trying to hid that and bury everyone with motions and delay tactics (8 years!) so that they don’t have to take real accountability. It’s a disgrace. Nike talks a good game but they are full of sh*t.

Just imagine a company run only by women….

If women were actually paid less for the “same work” the entire company would be staffed with women. Why would a greedy capitalist pay men more for the same work? The whole point is profit.

Factories were moved overseas to save on labor costs right? We could do it right at home in Beaverton.
