Stay at PayPal and watch the environment get worse, workload piling up, morale tanking, and layoffs happening and more always looming. Or leave and step into the unknown, hoping the next place isn't the same circus. It's a lose-lose. But staying feels like losing slower, and I'm not sure that's better.

@a1 omg same here. I keep telling them with my time in job i need to wait for the severance if they have it. If they don't or its cr-ppy i am no worse off. My sister switched jobs to avoid a layoff and ran right into another. she's has been unemployed over 2 months and is in sales. Jobs are hard to come buy especially ones that will pay you somewhat meaningfully i guess constant fear of layoff is the price we pay for being in cooperate world
I can’t remember the last time I saw the stock go up 3% in one day. Something must be brewing. Layoffs, another offer, who knows!!!
@aj Didnt the articles say they put aside 90 to 100 million for layoffs? $90m–$100m on severance and benefits

I wouldnt suggest anyone quitting. We should know by the end of the month for sure. Who knows the severance plan looks like...but it's def worth sticking around to see what it is. UNLESS, you have an offer now that cant wait. We have been waiting this long...what's a couple/few more weeks?
I have been here 4.5 years and fantasize about quitting every single day
if you have been here under 5 years then leave best option (severance if they offer it wont be worth staying) if you find a better job, if they offer severance and its meaningful to you 5-10 years at paypal) then stay to at least get that.
I feel like that’s the new trend in corporate land. Make people feel disposable and you can not give raises and bonuses. In reality you just lose the talent to better companies. Just wait until corporate starts making contractors bid on shifts with the company taking the lowest bidder. I’ve already seen this in the nursing industry and it’s straight up nuts and only works in times like this of fear and desperation. Everything this current administration is doing is very well calculated and purposeful. Trump is just the patsy who gets to loot anything not nailed down as his reward but the elite running the show know exactly what they’re doing. It will take a major shift and not just by electing a Democrat patsy to take his spot.
Agree. Feel the same. Stuck in limbo, but have been here many many years so would ki-l me to walk away without a cheque. My family tell me "you have been talking about layoffs for 3 years, just leave already", but its easier said than done...
