Cumulus Media has begun a new series of job reductions impacting sales and programming departments. These layoffs are occurring as the company prepares to formally emerge from bankruptcy proceedings. This action follows similar workforce reductions seen at other media companies, such as iHeartMedia. Cumulus initially filed for prepackaged bankruptcy in March. Heath Freeman's investment firm now holds a significant stake in the reorganized company.
