Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Wtf did I miss?

Im back from a much-needed mental break, only to arrive to a straight barrage of emails, texts, and people trying to figure out what the fu-k is going on. Who wants to catch me up on these "wonderful" mandatory meetings so I don't have to waste my fu--ing time listening to pointless recordings? Also, what the fu-k is this about another post-earnings meeting? What are we doing here?

I promise you, 3 to 5 years ago I never dropped this many F-bombs, but godda-n it, I am so fu--ing tired.

@af, The current sentiment across multiple organizations is quite consistent. All I can do is brace for the worst, accumulate as many free certifications as possible, and leverage all available resources for my next career move.
This mindset has unfortunately been shared by me and my colleagues for the past year. The cultural shift isn't just happening; it's already a reality and shows no signs of reversing. 😔

My gut feeling about all of this is pretty negative. Something is clearly happening. Lots of “we don’t know yet”, “changing priorities”, etc. I can’t imagine my org surviving another round of layoffs, but I thought the same thing the last three times. Ugh.

How is it you're so fu--king tired if you're just back from a much-needed mental break?
