What's the point of all of these recruiting and connection events they're doing for interns, new employees etc. they are just going to be working the same dead end jobs we are, one day here gone the next, or one day working on a project next day reallocated to something completely different.

The answer is quite obvious, you said it yourself. Same dead end jobs.
But they're coming in way cheaper than us old fogies. I'm at peace with it, despite all my complaint about this place I'll never complain about the total compensation I've received. I'm ready for retirement.
What's the point of being born?
Is it all a mirage?
