I do not see any business case for keeping any Aberdeen office open after the asset sale. Any remaining employees can relocate to London to lower overhead.

The most energy I’ve ever seen expended there was at the ping pong tables.
I hope they don’t keep an office in Aberdeen. We didn’t when we exited other locations! Exit and be done. Move if you love BP that much.
@cg If you do not have a sufficiently skilled twist and su-k coordination, then you are simply not the talent pool the leadership team are after.
What bp should do is keep an office in the lower cost location with deeper more experienced upstream O&G talent and cut back the number of inexperienced cost bloated London roles they have to shove into Timber.
But bp isn’t that intelligent so we will do the opposite.
Sadly I'm sure they'll take the opportunity to move roles like the PMU to Pune
Not going to happen - company is only focused on costs reduction not value/careers/growth. Might offer you a job in a London in the tiny timber square office but it’s quite small…
You are forgetting a huge amount of talent, senior advisors and experience sit in this region who will not be willing to move to england. Can BP can take the hit on losing this talent pool?
I agree with this but Chevron sold assets and their building went to Ithica
And they set up a small office in Marshall Square.

@am it sounds like if you are in Aberdeen but not wholly or mainly supporting the NS, your role will move to London. Maybe there’s a remote working transition period but there’s no reason to keep an Aberdeen office after the sale.
Luckily you aren’t in charge.
Dyce supports operations and projects all over the globe and has lots of talent band experience BP can still benefit from.
No doubt any future office will be many times smaller but a core group will likely remain for a good few years yet.
I assume cost of leasing office space and wages/salaries are lower in Aberdeen than in London.
As long as you can continue your incessant bootlicking, who cares about anyone else? Great perspective!
