🔥 OMNICELL: WHERE EVERYONE IS A VP… AND SOMEONE STILL HAS TO DO THE WORK

Seriously, how many VPs does one company need?

At Omnicell, the org chart sometimes feels less like a lean healthcare technology company and more like a VP convention with an occasional product roadmap thrown in.

You have to wonder:

👉 What does everyone actually do all day?
👉 How many “strategic alignment” meetings or “workshops” can one organization possibly have?
👉 And how many VPs does it take to schedule another meeting with the other VPs?

Then there are titles that make you stop and wonder whether the role exists because the company genuinely needs it—or because somebody needed another box on the organizational chart.

And yes… VP of Internal Communications.

That one might actually be justified. Someone has to spend all day figuring out how to turn:

“We’re eliminating your position”

into

“We’re strategically realigning our workforce to unlock future opportunities.” 😂

Maybe the real innovation at Omnicell isn’t automation.

It’s automating the creation of executive titles.

How many VPs are too many?

Asking for the shareholders. 👀

Seeing a VP layoff parts of her team then promote someone with zero relevant background in that department and creating a new team under them shows how insecure leadership there is. They want people around who won’t challenge them.
