Thread regarding Medical Solutions layoffs

Townhall & the “big reveal”

Does anyone else have a problem buying the absolute BS that comes with these recent townhalls? Trying to oversell the progress of the company even among the financial losses, low clinician satisfaction and lack of moral within employees? They keep preaching that they are listening to grievances, yet they continue pushing next agendas and plans for changes when we aren’t stable enough to implement successfully. Saying they want more automation = less need for manpower = layoffs. But they don’t say it.

Wait until you find out how much money they are paying a firm to come in to find out what going wrong with MedSol. This will give you every reason to question leadership of the past 3 years. Can’t do the job so you pay someone millions to come on to find out what you aren’t doing right 😂

@137 But outsourcing is hardly considered unethical these days. Outsourcing the norm, and has been for some time. And technically since Med Sol owns the offshore Manila office, it's not even really outsourcing, They're part of the company. And the recent reband putting "Philippines" in their name, that doesn't tell me they're making any attempts to not mention it anymore. It's now out there.

But speaking of our offshore counterparts, the more I hear from the c-suite about automation changes they're making--that affects everyone in that office with the exception of the billers. Credentialling, Starts and Payroll. That's all based offshore now. I think there's still a few onshore people working in Payroll, but literally just a few. And based on things that I've heard, it sounds like the offshore Payroll folks don't seem to have a clue about the new automation that was announced last week, but that's pretty par for the course considering how much hand-holding they get. He-l--they even got CAKE with this new virtual project that they celebrated, which I know nothing about.

Do I think there's some favoritism when it comes to the offshore office? Kind of, yes. But I also think that things that they've been getting wrong a long while--namely Payroll errors that never, ever seem to get fixed and just keep happening--are maybe finally getting pushed back on them. From a legal standpoint, I don't think the company can be in the position to keep sc--wing up clinician paychecks because somebody will sue and they will win. And they'll keep losing clinicians. Why in the world would you continue to work for a company that can't even get your pay right? You wanna tick someone off. mess with their money. See what happens.

Until the word gets out to our clients and candidates about how unethical MedSol is and how they keep outsourcing American jobs, not much will change unfortunately.

I’m actually not sure where things are going. The entire billing team—including offshore billers—are currently under a two week time study. If they’re looking to lay off people from payroll and credentialing with the automation they’re launching, those folks are offshore as well. On Thursday, billers were told to immediately drop a part of invoice processing related to payroll, being told that it wasn’t on billing to catch the errors that payroll had been making, I do know there are people in billing that are worried about layoffs following the time study, but I’ve also been told that there have been no rumblings of layoffs.

The company is going to do whatever they’re going to do. All I know is that I started applying for jobs recently.

AI… blah blah… “automation” that everyone knows is never going to actually work or make a difference enough to justify all the BS it’s going to cause …. More jobs to the Philippines for pennies on the dollar. (See also layoffs and burnout “onshore” because they have to be constantly babysat at every step) That was pretty much the takeaway.
Oh! And way under expected profits by a lot not just a little AGAIN

There was a follow up email regarding the “reveal” and it sounded like cut to the Payroll team are coming. That’s how I read it.
