Funny how people think going to the NC training is a nod that you have potential. It is not. Many people who have gone never rank above VG.

Chapel Hill is a great spot to spend a week. really pretty campus and town. And if you can get over all the corporate speak, the program is actually a good chance to take a step back and think about corporate strategy, org behavior, etc.
If you haven't been invited yet, then you probably are not at the top of the list of performers. Been there, done that before Covid shut it down. Our guest executive that week was the current EMIT POS. The whole thing is a bunch of propaganda that is not practiced in the real XOM culture.

This is where you can measure the politics. If you’re seeing non qualified people leading , then they go to this. You have some decisions to make. Here’s the problem , this company is shrinking if you want a regular employee career. You could venture to be a contractor at what’s left of Xom in the states.frankly I’d get a few years experience and get out early. I see nothing coming up where this company changes how it evals people. Holds management accountable or manages work in general.

Well if you are doing a job where you can’t disappear for a couple of weeks and do nothing work related then they won’t be nominating you. Funny how the “leaders” are so non essential to the actual work getting done.
