Rumors flying that poor business performance has the 2026 MIP set at 50% and a sunset of MIP for band 4 engineers planned for 2027. Management and band 5 retain MIP. This would put Honeywell dead last in pay among all defense contractors.
You’ve been warned. Budget accordingly.
Look for “aligning incentives with business goals” and other spin that all boils down to …
No MIP for you!

Other shops, every level gets some "MIP", even new hire E1s get some %.
How are we attracting talent with such these antics.
heard this rumor in the hallwat conversation today.. Deer Valley
A class action lawsuit will occur from this, unless HONA “pays” Band 4’s back for the 10% of their pay that was sequestered (aka stolen) to fund the MIP program. This is fact, and another fact was Honeywell kept the funds for 2 years to ‘make thier fiscal numbers’ before implementing the MIP program. So for two years Band 4’s were at 90% of previous year, and then they were given the opportunity to earn their own pay back. This was the beginning of the end.
Ask any Band 4 that was already working at Honeywell, and they will confirm the information above as 100% factual. New hires didn’t lose 10%.
Morgan & Morgan, hope you are reading this!
comment was about band 4, e band will get their 100% mip.
this is an expressed plan. they will give a percent this year that makes the upcoming pay restructure look attractive .. until you do the math . at the moment IT and the payroll are so sc--wed up they cant manage to pay hourly workers reliably and many band 4 people were given the wrong job titles that must now be corrected. i doubt they even know who is being paid let alone how much.
dont forget how they devalued your matching fund first with once per year match and now by ki-ling the dividends.
MIP in 2027 will depend largely on the wives of upper management that already have spending plans for their bonuses. World cruise, vacation home remodel, etc. Unless they want to sleep on the couch there will be some MIP payout. If Q4 really bombs then maybe not, but if that happens there might also be changes at the top, someone will have to be held accountable.
I heard it was going away and no pay out in 2027
Wasn’t there some video last year about adding requirements like “you must submit a patent” to the MIP eligibility for engineering?
