According to blind, oracle is preparing 10-20% layoffs 2 - 3 times PER year for the next 3 years. That's over 50% of the company, they are completely going bankrupt, one openAI bad news and they will be gone, this information was supposedly cmng from an M6, not sure how true is it but take it as you will.

@e6 the higher likelihood is the company could be broke into several companies. So the Oracle that once was, a behemoth of GIU's could just be broke down with these businesses being acquired by rival competitors.
It's the reality of the situation. AI is a bubble that will burst. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta will take an enormous hit it's cash but they will be able to survive. Oracle on the other hand does not have this privilege and will go bust.
All because of terrible decisions from the top. Will be a massive case study
@dd yet here you are
@e6
Exactly. Bankruptcy usually doesn't mean the company goes out of business.
They probably won’t go bankrupt in the way a normal business would. They are serving their role as strategic infrastructure aligned with geo-political interests. Big Tech and these new AI companies are the new chartered trading companies - like the West Indian Company and the United Fruit Company. They shape outcomes beyond the market. They don't operate in common sense land with us plebes who in fact go bankrupt for not paying our taxes and our bills.
It has been said before... 80K headcount target.
