Thread regarding Honeywell Aerospace layoffs

blame IT not the supply chain

Even if the AI team managed to roll something out we could not log into it because of fundamentally broken identity management stopping work everywhere. Honestly I miss multiple meetings a week because I just can’t log in … ditto with rejected access to share folders. WTF

Bringing this one to the top from somebodies post.
amen... impossible to do work.
when will they fire the IT execs?

My lord how can IT be sooo bad.
Now they want me to listen to a live podcast to learn how to do cross tenant work? If this “podcast” is just an ai generated recording I am literally going to throw up.
Do they understand that podcasts are inherently time shifted? Why the live event? Did they mean it to be a live stream?

IT is beyond f'ed up right now. New things break every day and tier 1,2, and 3 support is simply useless. I expected impacts from the spin, but it should be getting better, not worse.

Know one person without a computer for a week, another three weeks. That is on top of every network issue you can imagine. A good wall street analyst ought to ask Jim how much IT issues have cost us so far. Any number under a billion is a lie.

IT disaster is not hyperbole. Every engineer is frantically backing up data whenever they manage to get access to a server. My software dev team just decided to go back to paper SCRs because access was too difficult from the lab.
Pretty sure we will take a spare machine and just standup local dev tools on a docker instance. 1000% times more reliable and we just do not trust IT. Door code changed.. don’t need ya
