Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Grandaddy picks another winner to lead shared services, signing another highly questionable $250M contract w/ IBM

Granddaddy’s CHO (Chief Henchmen Officer) JM has made a mockery of USAA’s internal contract due diligence and control environment by onboarding another $250 million dollar agreement with IBM to provide a TCOE center of excellence. These due diligence and control functions safeguard member funds and company investments. Who knows what is happening behind the scenes without these safeguards? Not only is this technology solution vaporware that does not have a single customer running on it, all the financial benefits were written by IBM with little to no company due diligence (hint: the financial benefits are fabricated as well). Any voice that brings these concerns up is immediately silenced and moved off the project or fired. Again, another deliberate destruction of enterprise assets to funnel a quarter-billion dollars of member money to IBM. When is enough enough???? Honesty, Integrity, Service, and Loyalty may be etched in stone in C Building, but I fear when enough senior leaders operate in this way, we may be lost.

Guys. It changes by the day. Just hold tight. Dan Griffiths is so inconsistent, man. He has his Chief of Staff ( in future to be known as Nurse Steffi) in every meeting just to remind him or correct him on what he said last time. The guy is in his 60’s for chrissake #CognitiveDecline

So many ethically & morally disturbing allegations in one post. Corruption, impragnating, no respect to company process the list goes on. Not sure if these are facts or fiction.

@OP JM impregnated the IBM sales person initials NT, which is now literally showing as she walks our halls with a smug smile. Granddaddy is decades old best friends with Frank/also IBM he put on our account. It can’t get more cliche. Member money hard at “work”.

F'ed up at so many different levels. More you peel the onion more dirt, corruption, greediness, corporate slavery all are visible & real. Many very scary, morally incorrect thingd surfacing up at all levels organization. Matter of time these things will bite the company in form of deep morale issues, not loyal workforce, lost memberships etcs. I really hope some BoD or BoDs will help. This is legal corporate corruption at multiple levels.

At this point, let them. The truth is out; everyone is asking what happened to USAA, once renowned as the gold standard. If leadership continues to cut corners, bypass quality control, and let down their loyal members, the consequences are inevitable. What USAA needs now are former military leaders: those who have navigated complex systems, ask the tough questions, insist on clear expectations and accountability, and understand human factors. Only then can USAA regain the trust and excellence it once commanded. But I am not holding my breath. I never thought I would say this but I am giving up on USAA.
