Thread regarding NTT Data layoffs

How does the other half live?

As long as you're not on the Gainwell account and not within the contentiental U.S. You have it made compared to the other.

Working on the Gainwell account is as if you're never left Gainwell. As you still have to put up with all the B*S, gas lighting, etc. Now you have the benefit of experiencing from both Gainwell and the NTT leadership directly over you.

Good luck trying to find another position within the company, unless you're off-shore. Most of the available positions for what I do or want to do are based over in India/Asia.
Basically, the hype about you building a career and being who you want to be at NTT, is just that hype, as it baised towards the cheaper labor overseas.

Training that isn't skillsoft. I payed out of pocket myself. It was the only way to get decent training opportunites.

The only upside is I work remote. Which eliminates me having to pay for home visit healthcare that I otherwise would have to pay for , if I had to go into an office. (The wife is disabled and wheelchair bound)

As you can tell, I don't have a high opinion of NTT and my immediate managers. Everyday is like being thrown into a pool with your hands and feet tied to a concrete block, as you try to wade water and catch your breath whenever possible. And they just keep dumping water over your head.

This 100%
I left NTT 2 years ago and never looked back. Launch was the biggest hype machine there was and in the end it was nothing more than bullsh-t and vaporware.
As for Tammy - if you look up a definition of DEI Hire in the dictionary - you will find a picture of her in her Wonder Woman dress and her multi colored hair that makes her look like a damn peacock.

I feel sorry for you guys that still work there. At least Launch is gone and Tammy Soares is no longer a leader.

NTT bought all these companies that were doing well and then put them all in Launch. Instead of keeping NTT leadership in charge and figuring out how to put them in existing units that created Launch. Then they put the people from those other companies in charge of NTT employees who worked there for years. The other companies being full of people that lacked big corporation management experience and were literally clueless.

Then they did the worst thing of all. They hired Tammy "Wonder Woman" Soares. Her and her "girl power" team literally started chopping off all the experienced NTT people while keeping the less experienced people from the outside companies. If you spoke up about it you hit her sh-t list and she terminated you quickly.

After tons of layoffs, now effecting even the people from the recently purchased companies as well (who are all butthurt because they never experienced this type of thing before but had no heart when the NTT employees got canned) it was only a matter of time before Launch itself was going to fail. And guess what. That time has come and anyone still being tortured in Launch has now begun to be folded back into NTT Data. Guess what folks? Those teams truly don't want you - just like you didn't want the NTT folks you all sc--wed over. I hope the rest of you suffer the same fate as the loyal NTT employees suffered when they got canned because the outside companies were protecting their own and not doing what was best for the company. Welcome to the other side of the fence!

Me? If you haven't guessed, I was one of the NTT folks that got let go. They gave me 10 weeks of severance pay (which I hear nowadays is lucky but I still think is awful after the amount of years I worked there).

NTT has THE worst HR team out there. They are cut throat and not there to do anything but save the company money. They conspire with high level management to break the law and scheme you out the door. Never trust a word they say.

They do like to lead you around in circles by dangling half-made promises in an effort to pacify. Then you realize they got you again, and you fell for it, AGAIN.

Doesn't pay to be a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, when are the jobs are really only available for those outside mainland U.S.A. Off-shore individuals get to work on U.S. assets remotely, it's not true the other way around.
