Asking for a friend who is expecting an offer.
Is it 2 days per week ? Or can done 4 days a week and skip full next week ?
Are there any min hours in office requirement ? Or is coffee badging ok ?

I only go to the office to steal supplies. Toilet paper, stuff from the kitchenette, stuff from coworker's desks that haven't been touched in months. . . it's worth it! It's like a side hustle but already at work.
3 days per week. No carry over.
I think people have very different experiences at this company. I know in my organization we are expected to work, create results, and even work and be available outside of work hours. Having said that, to answer the original post, it depends a lot on whether your group actually needs to be together to work or not. Unfortunately, the side effect of the latest policy is that there are many people who are expected (I guess) to go into an office just because of where they live even if they have no other team members or projects with other teams and spend that entire time communicating with people in other offices or doing their own work. Neither of those require going into the office. In the end, if they are paying you I do what management/HR want, even if it wastes time or does not make sense. I've tried to point things like this out, but it just gets pushed up the management chain and disappears. Now I don't bother.

My point - come to the office 5 days a week, and do not work.
If you work 2 days and skip 4 days, shouldn't you only be paid for 2 days?
