Am I the only one surprise by review rating? My LOB falls under OCI now, and my manager review of my performance was not great. Showing up giving my all seems to not matter now reviewed on the new bell curve. Do I do more? Perhaps I am on a list? Any others surprised? Peace and love..

Got 3 for the first time ever, after giving performance better than previous year when I got 5. My manager claims VP overridden his mark. I don't believe him, even if it's true.
The only reason I am not searching a new job right now is padding my resume with AI related work experience, which should help to land new position.
@OP is on the list for sure!
Rated 3 should’ve been 4. Manager didn’t really have a choice and no one is prepared to put their head above the parapet. All change.
Am I the only one surprise by review rating?
OP given that this is right before a RIF, you should not be surprise [sic].
The SUNW group's mass layoff last August was preceded by a reorg into OCI. Not sure if they were related but it did seem rather odd when the reorg was announced.
@av Not true. OCI has stack ranked for years. I had multiple employees who were doing great but was only allotted one 4/5 rating, so one great employee got a 3.....this was years ago. It su-ks....for both employees and managers.
@an I do not have head trauma, I was simply sharing. Be kind please.
I have been told that if your at a certain level then it's expected your work would be exceptional so now your rated a 3 (meets) .
Do even more, for a company choosing to treat you like that? Either you are an incessant bootlicker or a victim of severe head trauma...
OP, doesn't sound like peace and love... more like resentment and discontent. Read the other posts on this site. People are being graded lower on purpose, by direction from the company. There is no job security here so why would you do more? Your manager told you in no uncertain terms that your work isn't valued. At best you might survive this round of layoffs but don't fool yourself there will be another round of layoffs and another after that one. Do yourself a favor and look for an exit.
Did you query the rating your manager gave you ?
Meets expectations is the standard this year.
Managers at Oracle were forced to evaluate their teams using a curve. This is clearly with the intention to identify and target low performers for RIFs. If your performance is rated below "meets expectations" you are at risk.
The situation cr-p we can't protect ourselves. Oracle’s alignment with OpenAI adds another layer of complexity, as OpenAI’s trajectory is all the way to the gutter, and it will take Oracle along with it. Even if we’re not currently on the list, we might find ourselves there eventually. It's coming for all of us.
