What's the change Ayman skirted around during today's town hall? Solutions and teams moving "out of the Core". He is waiting for a recommendation from "the team". His way of putting a WFR blame on others since he is going to follow "the teams" recommendation.

@ej It says the survey is anonymous--that means it has to be or we were mislead. My point is, say how you really feel in the survey because if they fire you for it, you've got the email inviting your participation that says it is anonymous. Oh, and forward that one to your home address.
My favourite question, and my answer, for all of Ayman's town halls so far is the question about what was the best part of the event; my answer has been "the end" each time.
Maybe next time I will just answer everything with the word "soccer." :P

@ej Can he be truthful about the % participation in the survey. Felt it was too high. I know a lot of folks who did not do the survey.

Culture survey participation at 70% seems exceptionally high for a survey that is tied to your email or am I missing "A learning moment" or "Another coaching opportunity"
This townhall was surprisingly depressing—the CFO standing there whining, "I don't know if we'll make it, so you guys better hustle harder."

Ayman is up to some tricky business around shuffling where negative results for underperforming solutions sit. The goal is to spin Q1 and Q2 results to make areas of the business that analysts are eyeballing based on OT promises show as performing and growing. Is it legal? Yes. Is it ethical? No. Nor is is sustainable. Ayman's goal is to temporarily rob Peter to pay Paul knowing very well the house of cards is going to not only fall but implode. But he will have satisfied the numbers (growth) required for his big payout and be in his merry way, along with many of his current ELT, flush with cash from dumping their stock the way Barrenechea did. Corporate raiders, all currently pretending they are transforming the company.
Currently out on leave for medical - sounds like I'm really missing some awesome times. I look forward to being laid off while I recuperate I guess.

He's hardly a leader. More like a bland functionary that peter-principled his way to the top. No leader CEO I've ever seen has that stupid interview format in a quarterly town hall. I skipped the live event and caught the recording to skip past the silliness.
The whole spectacle gives credence to the notion that he's just here to bust up the place.
At least he won't have Mark++ 's maudlin act thanking the fallen for their important contributions.
@cq Honestly I get how CA can feel but maybe discouraging a region's millions of dollarydoos when the company is on its knees isn't ideal right now.
The US has this much expansion because it had that much revenue to offer. To the degree of having US workers for some. The employer can do what it wants as long as it's legal, but that's a lot of customers to p*ss off here.
If I and the rest of the folks in the states lost our jobs tonight, those jobs may not go back to you all though - they may get pushed to APAC.
Similar argument to the RTO/commute perk thread. As long as it's legal that's OT's right to do or not. But maybe not recommended or a net good to do. Hopefully a customer from our neck of the woods doesn't use the thread to push for a discount.
The CFO was visibility uncomfortable during his entire presentation. Sales leadership had to be cringing as well. Ayman had some negative commentary about his sales pres and called it right out. Not the place but that's Ayman's thing. He wants to keep the direct reports he dislikes for personal reasons uneasy.
Did no one catch Ayman giving the middle finger to the entire room / broadcast while pretending like he was holding the cue card like 8-10 min into the town hall? Also he called Steve R a fool cause he saw the timer showing he was going overtime. Wonder why the board picked such a cynical child to lead OT
Ayman, why do you think that customer you mentioned at the town hall felt Opentext doesn't care anymore ? Openjoke's employees are treated like sh--e, there are no certainty on job and no financial incentives, what is the care factor?
If you don't treat your people right, how do you expect they focus on treating the customer right, like in the past ?
Not like you care, it's all numbers to you.
