Cleveland Metropolitan School District has recalled nearly 130 of the over 400 employees initially laid off in April. This includes approximately 30 teachers who will return to full-time positions. Additionally, 97 out of 114 laid-off paraprofessionals have been offered new roles. These recalls follow a previous agreement that brought back 60 teachers as long-term substitutes. Despite these efforts, the district anticipates starting the next school year with significantly fewer employees.
