If anyone is impacted today from Ireland can you say what dept you are in just so we can have an idea
So many rumors that today is the day for Ireland with numbers ranging 170 to 450
I'd say the 170 number seems more realistic
If nothing happens today I'm going to put it out of my mind and just continue on with my day to day at work

They notified irish government on Friday but still no numbers. Do we think that means all involved were notified today or still more to come?
Actually sounds like they want the actual acc mgmt support in country which isn’t actually a new approach - this was already known. E.g. don’t support the UK from Ireland but actually support it with the acc mgrs in the UK.
This stuff is not new I guess. Was told recently that more staff in UK being recruited (they just moved to a fancy new office on the Southbank in London too).
What has been said during the different meetings this morning in Ireland? Is everyone on the call going to be laid off for sure ?
I just want this whole debacle to be over so I know if I'm leaving or staying as I'm so over the endless rumors and waiting

about 300 from India have been let go so far. India cannot fully replace Ireland FO. There are EU regulations preventing that.

I think they will continue to gut Ireland over the next couple of years and move it all to the likes of India

@a3 not only call based jobs, over the past years they basically mirrored Ireland in India, and with Enrique saying They want to make Ireland a innovation hub, I don't think there is much chance of anything staying in Ireland except AI rubbish.
@a1 I actually do agree with you on this. Ireland had 2900 employees at the peak and last reported number was 1600 in 2024 but I'd say it's closer to 1400 now with natural attrition and small cuts here and there.
It makes sense to move all customer call based roles to cheaper countries

@OP I would say Ireland is going to get hit hard, Ireland does the same job as India, however India starting salary for college graduates is $350-$400 a month, there is just no competing with it, and PP does not care about quality, as long it's cheap it will do.
