The moment you make more than your coworkers, you're on the radar. Seniority doesn't protect you, it does the opposite, it makes you more expensive and more vulnerable. I've seen it happen to people who dedicated years to this company. They were paid for their experience, and that's exactly what made them a target.

@OP, in Albany there’s a pretty obvious inner circle that seems to get most of the promotions and leadership opportunities. Everyone knows who they are, and somehow they always seem to be protected no matter what happens.
IBM is where mediocrity prevails. Alvind is the leader.
