Has anyone on the IT side been affected by layoffs recently? I come here often but I have never seen posts on IT. I would think that we'd cut pretty deep over there as there is a lot of contractors with some really high billing rates.

There are about 14,000 people at target's MN headquarters, so 2,000 is a lot if they're all at headquarters, but maybe not too many if it includes other locations too. Target said there are 600 positions related to Canada they're reviewing.

I heard all the layoffs are going to happen tomorrow - 2k to 3k people, not just Canada support. In core merch they are also going to eliminate the MP Director role. MP issues will flow thru Sr. Buyers.
